"Fashionable People" gets over half a million views on YouTube

Joel's most popular video, Fashionable People now reaches an amazing 550 000 views. It's a video about a fashion company, and people auditioning to be models.

Honestly, it is a fairly bland music video, but that seems to be the point, and it's refreshing to see people who actually look like normal people, not supermodels wearing tons of makeup. Plaskett himself is wearing a sweater vest!

"Three" wins Juno award!

Today, Joel's latest album, "Three" won the Adult Alternative Album of the year award at the Junos! In the past, he has been nominated for three other Junos, but unfortunately lost out each time. He has had more luck with the East Coast Music Awards, with 15 awards and 2 nominations. Now, he can finally add a Juno to his trophy cabinet.

Joel Plaskett now has an official VEVO channel on Youtube! Only two videos have been uploaded so far, Through and Through and Through and You Let Me Down, but hopefully he will add more to the official channel.

Joel Opens for Paul McCartney!

This weekend, Paul McCartney performs in Halifax, and he asked no other than Joel Plaskett to open for him! This is undoubtedly going to be the biggest Joel Plaskett concert ever, so make sure you get tickets! Joel will be playing a new song from the album "Three", Through and Through and Through, plus Penny for your Thoughts. 

So if you live anywhere near Halifax, make sure you come down to the show, we need to give Joel as much support as Paul McCartney gets!

Today, the new album, "Three" is released. It's a triple-pack with three discs worth of Joel Plaskett tunes.

In this brand new 3-disc set, everything is related to the number three. Today is 03/24/09, all divisible by three. It costs $21, which is 3x3x3, or 3 to the power of 3. There are three discs, all with 9 songs each, which makes 27 songs total, 3 x 3 x 3 again. And, most of the songs are called something like Run, Run, Run or Through and Through and Through!

There are little clues in every album about where the mystical hangout spot actually is, especially in the Ashtray Rock album. But now the cat is officially out of the bag.

It's actually smaller than most people would think it is; it's only about the size of a small microwave oven.
